Enter the Dollhouse

Hopefully you all know what Dollhouse is. This show, along with Whedon's others is a great examination of what makes us human. His characters always have depth and meaning and despite the fact they have superpowers, save the world alot, roam around in space, get brainwashed or even do the brainwashing they are ALL relatable. My favorite Dollhouse characters' so far are Topher Brink and Adelle DeWitt. Topher "is the genius programmer of the Dollhouse who's articulate, nerdily attractive, and blithely amoral. He's responsible for imprinting and wiping the dolls — and making sure they stay unaware of anything. Is fascinated by the science and kind of digging the illegality. Fun to be around, but might not be remotely trustworthy." I mean come on who couldn't love him, he has a drawer full of inappropriate starches... How many more reasons do you people need!?
Adelle's official character description calls her "very sophisticated" and "cold as an alp." She "runs the Dollhouse with an efficiency that is both ruthless and protective" and "would die before she showed anyone how lonely she is." She's insanely intriguing, I have to wonder how she ended up in the Dollhouse. One of the interesting things about Adelle is that although she's "cold as an alp" we do get glimpses of who she really is or was, in episodes such as 'A spy in the House of Love' where we see Dewitt, secretly as Miss Lonelyhearts, with Victor and in the episode 'Echoes' where we see Adelle 'loosened up' a bit when Topher and her are 'under the influence' truly a great thing to watch.
These two together have a great chemistry and I'm left (after Epitaph One) wondering what exactly their relationship is, has been and how it will develop. This scene serves to keep me guessing (SPOILER)

Why Twilight Sucks!!!
Now we all know that Twilight has a large (and deluded) fan base. As a Whedon fan I have no problem with vampire stories, I don't even have issues with "nice" vampires. However I think Twilight sucks and if you were at, or have seen videos of comic con this year (where many, many people walked around all weekend with Twilight ruined comic con signs) then you'll know I'm not the only one who despises all things Edward Cullen.
So here's my list of why Twilight sucks... for any misguided individuals who (live in bizarro world and) think Twilight resembles something g.. go.. good (Ugh I feel dirty even typing it :P )
1. Bella has NO life at all, she does NOTHING for herself and her entire life is about creepy-stalker-mo... I mean eh, Edward. Basically her character is non existent, she's just there to serve the (also non existent) plot.
2. Vampires' sparkle, are you kidding... SPARKLE!
3. There is NO character development and the characters lack any sort of depth, if they had any it might not have been AS bad. Don't know what deserves the most blame for this... the unimaginative writing or the downright talentless acting. (Stephen King said that Stephanie Meyer can’t write ‘worth a darn’.)
4. The fans think that it's the best thing they have ever seen/read... They obviously have never turned on their TVs or read anything ever. I dare you to find something worse written.
5. Angel would so kick Edward's ass and Buffy thinks he's weird and creepy
If you have anything to add please leave a comment... I know I've already thought of several more.

Hallowhedon!
My excitement for the Hallowhedon convention is barely (and by barely I mean not at all) containable. The three day Jossverse event begins in London on Friday the 31st of October with a themed party, I personally like to think this theme will be the Evil League of Evil (aka ELE) from Dr Horrible. Honestly who wouldn't want to create and dress up as their very own ELE member. BTW Property of (evil genius) Mr Gordo is already taken.. So don't even try it! The event continues over the weekend with a Halloween Ball on the Saturday and a 'chill out' party on the Sunday. There will also be Q and A sessions, panels, autographs and personal photo shoots with the guests (so far) James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon, with the help of Twitter there will hopefully be more guest announced soon. Hey asking actors/writers repeatedly to attend is NOT harassment... it's taking a friendly interest... What? It is. Anyhoo if you have any ideas on what you think the Friday theme might be let know :P
Blogging, me.. really??
OK, so I've been a blog reader for a long time (like Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis kinda long) I've always thought if you have a blog you need something of interest to speak about, so I've decided to stick (not literally) to what I know best. What's that you ask, well really anything media, gadget, Internet or gaming centric, plus a little random-osity (and twitter) thrown in for good measure. If you have anything you want me to blog about let me know in the comments section...
